Embark on an unforgettable journey through the beautiful landscapes and vibrant cities of the Netherlands and Belgium. From the iconic tulip fields of Keukenhof to the historic charm of Brussels and Bruges, this package offers the perfect blend of culture, history, and stunning sights.
This morning, meet your coach and begin your journey towards Dover for your crossing to Calais or Dunkerque. Be sure to have your passports ready as we’ll be going through UK and French immigration, as well as security checks. The ferry crossing will take approximately 90 minutes, or 40 minutes if we use the Euro Tunnel train. Once we arrive in mainland Europe, we’ll continue our journey towards Belgium.
Upon reaching Brussels, we’ll disembark and stroll through the charming cobbled streets of the Old Town. Here, you’ll have the chance to marvel at The Grand Place (Grote Markt), the central square of Brussels, where you can capture stunning photos of the opulent guildhalls and the grand buildings of the Town Hall and the King’s House (Maison du Roi), which houses the Museum of the City of Brussels. Next, take a short walk to see the iconic Manneken Pis, a 17th-century bronze fountain depicting a little boy urinating into a basin, often dressed in various costumes during festivals.
Before we leave Brussels, we’ll board the coach for a quick photo stop at the Atomium, a giant stainless steel structure originally built for the 1958 Brussels World's Fair.
Finally, we’ll head to our hotel and restaurant in the Netherlands. Depending on the hotel location, we may either head directly to the restaurant for an Indian dinner, or proceed to the hotel where dinner will be served in one of the conference rooms, prepared by our own caterers.
After breakfast, we visit the famous Keukenhof Tulip Gardens, known for its stunning flower displays with over 7 million bulbs across 32 hectares in Lisse, South Holland. (Note: After May 10th, Keukenhof will be closed, and we'll visit Madurodam Model Village instead, showcasing 1:25 scale models of Dutch landmarks and cities.)
In the afternoon, we head north of Amsterdam to a Cheese and Clog Farm, where a local will explain the cheese-making process and the history of clogs in Dutch culture.
Later, we explore Amsterdam, famous for its art, canals, and charming narrow houses. Enjoy a scenic Canal Cruise to admire the city’s intricate canal system.
In the evening, we’ll enjoy an Indian dinner before spending our final night in Holland.
After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and head towards Calais/Dunkerque for our channel crossing back to Dover.
If you're traveling during the Keukenhof season, we'll visit Madurodam Model Village, a miniature park in The Hague, featuring 1:25 scale models of Dutch landmarks and cities.
For travel after mid-May, when Keukenhof is closed, we'll proceed to Bruges. Here, a local guide will take us on a walking tour of this UNESCO heritage city, highlighting the Markt Square, the Belfry of Bruges, and its charming canals and medieval buildings.
Please note, the lunch stops will offer continental food, so be prepared if you prefer something else.
To summarize: During the Keukenhof season, today's itinerary includes Madurodam, and Keukenhof will be visited on Day 2. After the Keukenhof season, Bruges replaces Keukenhof on Day 1, with Madurodam on Day 2.
In the afternoon, we head to Calais for the crossing back to Dover, before continuing to Wembley for drop-offs.
